AGREED FOREVER. Like, I'd used to think Red/Green/Blue/Yellow arcs were the best, BUT NO, NO, I WAS SO WRONG.
IMO, the Ruby/Sapphire arc had the most well-constructed plot, the deepest-developed characters, and the best Crowning Moments of Awesome in the entire manga.
Absolutely. It was the best-paced, had the most interesting villains (in how there are two and they're both wrong, but they're not both wrong? AND THEY BOTH, IMO, STOOP LOWER THAN OTHER VILLAINS WE'VE MET BEFORE.) I really like its placement, actually, because it's a nice break from the first gen characters. I was surprised, at first, when I realized they're not going to come in to save the day (I'm not done with the arc, mind you, but), but that actually makes it so much more awesome. And these characters actually have families to deal with and worry about! Which makes it a lot more real. And and ajsdlkfjsal SO WONDERFUL.

NOW I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO THE EMERALD ARC. :DD
