Sasuke wasn't quiiite sure when it started happening, but after he and Madara had left Iron, something was definitely up with the local wildlife.

Birds seemed to go out of their way to poop on the two of them (read: on Sasuke, since Madara just let it voop right through him), squirrels often tried to ransack their belongings, and every dog in every village growled when he came near, their eyes glittering with anger.

In retrospect, betraying the freaking protector of the forest wasn't looking like such a hot idea anymore.
