I actually miss the plot.

Bleach: Kind of creeped out by manbearpig. Honestly, all I engaged with this chapter was the beautiful art (as usual) and Chad's wibble/squee-inducing speech about pride. Also, since when was Fuhrer King Bradley a character in this manga?

This week's Naruto was really disappointing to me. I mean, who even was the random hot-headed dude with them? What happened to Bee's other student? Why/how were these people even getting beat? Who cared?

Oh, well. Maybe next week we might actually get a glimpse of the title character again...

The hot-headed dude was Samui's brother. They have themed names - Samui means "cold," and Atsui means "hot."

But you're right, the way the soul jars worked was completely absurd and confusing. Although, apparently, I heard on chuunin somewhere that Kishi's borrowing from/paying homage to Journey to the West with those, so maybe I'd get it if I knew JttW.

Huh. Paying homage...Yeah, probably would help if we knew what was being paid homage to, but interesting to know.
