Yes, but it's also fun! ♥

What topic are you covering now?

(Oh, you're on ffnet? OMG I KNOW YOU ON FFNET. KIND OF. I THINK WE KNOW PEOPLE IN COMMON AND YOU MAY HAVE DONE A CHALLENGE OF MINE.)

too lazy to log out of RP journal

No. Not fun.

Limits. And it's funny, because I understood them perfectly well in Precalc. But now we're using epsilon and delta and that creepy upside-down A for no reason, and just lskjldk I DON'T GET IT WAAAH~

Yeah...what's your ff name?

Ohhhhh yeah, limits in that notation is pretty scary at first. It's all just a different way of saying that limits approximate a number by getting infinitely close to it. So, as you get infinitely close to something on a coordinate plane, your distance from that something decreases infinitely, in terms of x AND y, right? That's really all that the epsilon/delta stuff is saying. As you approach a point, the value of the limit gets closer and closer to the value of the function.

Ah, sorry for the calculus rambling. ^^;; Man, now I miss calc. XD But yeah. It'll be helpful to know this, because you'll learn to be able to do proofs with that definition. Maybe.

And, for the record, I usually said I hated calc while taking the class. XD I just realized it's kind of fun once you get it.

Right now, I have a newish account called TroublingaStar, but my old one is called grand_jete, previously starlit_iridescence, previously RoseZephyr, etc.
