Code Geass, reactions up to episode 6:

I love this show.

It has everything I liked about Full Metal Panic! and Death Note, combined into a fantastic package of awesomeness. There are mechas, alternate history, rebellion, socio-political commentary, meditations on the morality of people in power, the nature of power, absolute power corrupting absolutely, moments of total dorkiness to balance out the pathos (the entire school ends up looking for a cat while Lelouch runs around trying to find it first like a lunatic because it has his SEKRIT IDENTITY mask stuck on its head. I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP), total hotness, a kick-ass opening theme song....IT HAS EVERYTHING.

Suzaku is the cutest thing that ever cuted in the history of cute aksladjask so cuuuuuuute~ His morals and refusal to believe that the ends justify the means and his adorable belief in the basic goodness of people and his loyalty and his ridiculous spinning bird kicks and knight motif and curly brown hair of adorableness HOW IS IT POSSIBLE TO BE THAT CUTE EVER, AAAAAAAAAH~ ♥♥♥♥♥Suzakuuuuuu

And then you've got Lelouch.  Total crazy FIGHT THE POWAR plus his awesome Mind Control Eye and hot voice and chess motif and smartness and DRAMA QUEENING and loving his sister and occasional ability to be a total dork all wrapped up in a sexy little CLAMPorexic package.  The drama queening is the best part--he's got the SEKRIT IDENTITY, the "mysterious lone rebel strategist on phone with no name attached but a dramatic code word" thing, the RIDICULOUS CAPE AHAHAHA, the "abandoned/disowned/in hiding/secret royalty" thing, the "dramatic blind sister in wheelchair" thing...I COULD GO ON BUT BASICALLY LELOUCH DOES NOT BLEED BLOOD, HE BLEEDS DRAMU.

And apparently--I did not believe this when I first went to Wikipedia, but every other source I could dig up confirmed it--Noriaki Sugiyama voices Rivalz, the requisite dork from the student council??? After laughing for two straight minutes, the thought hit me:

So he can do voice work that sounds like a normal twelve-to-fifteen year old! HE JUST CHOOSES NOT TO FOR SASUKE AKFDLSHFSJAKHFASJKH AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA BRB DYING~

But anyway, back to Code Geass.  Made.  Of.  Win.

...I just now noticed that Lelouch is an older brother.  DAMMIT ARGH ME.
