ZANISHA, MY CANADIAN DESTINY IS CALLING MEEEEEE~ 8D
Went to a minor-league hockey game last night because my little sister's fifth grade class was singing the national anthem. SO. MUCH. FUN. I had seen one when I was but a wee little lass (Scottish slang, wtf?), but forgot how AWESOME hockey is.
Plus. The game was sold out when we got there, but my dad scored tickets that the team had released cause their families couldn't come or whatever. The seats were. Four rows up from the ice. At center court. (rink? half-rink?)

SO, we got to see big burly guys checking each other into the glass and hitting each other with their sticks (there was a lot of that going on; apparently the team they were playing was a big rival or whatever) and there were like fourteen broken sticks because they were hitting each other so hard. I love the sound that the pucks made on the sticks and I love the scrapy noise that the guys' skates make. I MUST BE DESTINED TO BE A HOCKEY FAN, EVERYBODY. 8DDD
Oh yeah, and two guys got into it about midway through the first period, so they were up against the glass pulling at each other's jerseys and smacking each other and the one guy had the other guy in a minor headlock. And behind them, there was this enormous fat guy in a Chiefs jersey (for no good reason?) jumping up and down and going, "Yeah get em! Raaaaah!" and looking like a spazz. XD
Clearly, this is a sign.
