Ummmm what's your most favorite manga/anime ever?

Mm...See, it changes every time I find a new one... I'd say that...uh, ooh...

At this very exact moment, it's Naruto, just because that's my current obsession, but overall forever, it'll probably end up being Death Note or Fullmetal Alchemist. One of my "thinking" anime.

How's Death Note? I've heard people get really into it, but haven't really been able to see what's so great about it.

That's the thing! You're not supposed to cheer him on. The series really isn't about Light's "quest" to "rid the world of evil"; it's about his descent into madness, and the corrupting effects of power, and how the noblest of ends cannot ever be used to justify evil means, and... skjlajlkas IT'S FANTASTICAL~~

Oh, awesome.

I'd have to say Sakura, just on character development alone. She starts off as this...this young girl (just like any of us, though I am loath to admit the similarities early!Sakura and I shared), completely prone to sticking her foot in her mouth (I cringe every time I watch episode three, when she says that whole thing about not having parents right to Sasuke's face), and all dependent and slightkly selfish, and then--Forest of Death. She cuts off her hair, and vows to not be such a wuss anymore--I completely flip out with awesome every time I see that scene. The entire Forest of Death plot is probably one of my favorite sub-arcs in the entire series.

And then, when she goes and actually begs Sasuke not to leave--when she reveals that it's not just a crush, (not to her, anyway) that she honestly loves him as much as she understands love to be--she begs him to stay, to let her try to make him happy, to even help with his revenge even though she knows it's wrong--she offers to leave with him--

That whole scene kills me.

And then, Shippuuden Sakura? Yeah. Bitch, yeah. She doesn't just sit and mope and stagnate with Sasuke gone. She screws her head on tight and says, eff him, I'm going to develop and get strong and maybe if I ever run into him again, I can kick his ass and drag him back here with Naruto so things can go back to the way they were, on my terms. Just, just ILU Sakura~

Second favorite is probably Anko. Just for being Anko. And then Tsunade, and then Tenten, and Karin, and Shizune...and that one ANBU chick who helps avenge Hayate's death... Female Naruto characters are awesomesocks.

SASUKE. SASUKE IS WHAT'S GREAT ABOUT NARUTO.

Just, the character development is amazing. Much better than Bleach's character development, and I will stand by that.

And the anime's music, which I love.

And the animation in general is better than Bleach's animation (though Kubo's manga art is better than Kishimoto's, IMO).

And...I just love it. Don't really need a reason.

What do I...want?

I want to write.

I want my mom not to be so embarrassed by everything I do, somehow.

I want a small house or a moderately large apartment, stocked with instant ramen and lots of tea, where I can hang anime posters in my bedroom no matter how old I get, just because I could and my parents couldn't say no.

I want to find the right guy.

I want to not have kids, or really, I want a kid who is kind of like me, only quieter and a little more circumspect, and with whom I could read books and watch shows and discuss. But I really don't want that, because I want it so much, because I'd be too afraid that I'd become my mother by accident.

I want to fly. Not in a plane. I want to fly. Just because it's impossible doesn't mean I can't want it.

I want to become fluent in French and, one day, Japanese.

I want to be someone that my parents could be proud of, and I want to stop wanting that.

Naruto does have plenty of weak points, but for everything that it fails at, it wins at something else.

Can I just take a moment to say that I love how much Naruto fandom loves the ladies, even if Kishimoto doesn't? *moment*

And total word about Sakura's arc. I love her to bits, and it was a pleasure seeing how much she grew. Frankly, when I was Sakura's age, I would have hated her (I was immature in a different way, and she would have driven me insane) but now, I can appreciate who she was and what she grows into.

And Anko? Anko is freaking awesome. I loves that girl to bits. I need to write more for her, too. *ponders*
