I managed to enable a Suzaku into apping at Kannagara.
Me. I did that. All by myself. Well, with the help of dear_mun and our new Kannagara musebox. But I. Did it. The long night is over.

Basically, this manga is everything that any manga should ever be in terms of awesomeness and plot twists and cuteness and GENDER DYNAMICS and SHIPPING and HDKJSHDSJKFSHJAKF HOLY GOD WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE--
( Large crappy-quality manga scans and capslocky flailing under cut. )
This manga is intended for consumption by young kids. Probably primarily boys, who were the original demographic.
You can't tell me that you can't put great gender dynamics and plot twists that make sense into manga aimed at young boys. You can't. I can't believe you anymore. Not after this. This is a demographic aimed a few years younger than Shounen Jump, the formative years.
If Pokemon can do it, you can do it.
Your move, Jump artists.

Jun. 13th, 2009 02:12 amSo, I did something I've been meaning to do for a very long time: I finally read the game script to The World Ends With You. (I did the same thing with Chain of Memories--I don't own a DS, and I fricking wanted to play both games solely for the plot)
*s-sob* What a beautiful game. What an uplifting story. And the sheer number of mind-fracking plot twists was just glorious. Now I wish I'd played it for real, just to get those revelations in real-time.
