what a weekend C:
Jul. 18th, 2010 11:16 pmOh, such a great weekend. I took Friday off to practice for the wedding rehearsal of my high school chorus teacher with students and alums of our choir. Then we went to one of us's family's lake house to go tubing and swimming in the lake. It was raining when we got there, so we watched The Lost Boys which is now officially one of my favorite 80s movies on account of how eighties it was. Also the vampires. Then the weather broke and it was gorgeous in the afternoon so we went out on the lake and the water was warm and I was there with all my friends... ;~~~; so wondrous.
Saturday, the wedding was fantastic and we danced all night at the reception. I got home around 11 pm and I didn't want to go to bed right away, and I was alone in the house, so I popped in a Code Geass DVD, curled up on the couch, and watched the English dub of a few episodes with a glass of Chardonnay (don't tell :3).
Today, I finished the sixth Hitchiker's Guide book that was written by Eoin Colfer (verdict: very good), bummed around, played some Pokemon, and went to see Inception with a friend, which was marvelous and fantastic and gorgeous and basically incredimazing.
I am also consiiidering getting a Plurk account. I want some serious positive/negatives from you guys. Worth my time? Is the layout user-friendly? etc....

Jun. 13th, 2009 02:12 amSo, I did something I've been meaning to do for a very long time: I finally read the game script to The World Ends With You. (I did the same thing with Chain of Memories--I don't own a DS, and I fricking wanted to play both games solely for the plot)
*s-sob* What a beautiful game. What an uplifting story. And the sheer number of mind-fracking plot twists was just glorious. Now I wish I'd played it for real, just to get those revelations in real-time.

Naruto 448 and 449
May. 29th, 2009 01:12 amYou know, it's weird. For the past two chapters, in which absolutely ridiculous things have occurred, I went into them all jaded and expecting to be disgusted because of just reading the spoilers and knowing what was going to happen this week.
But...somehow, they worked out for me. Like, I was unexpectedly able to suspend my disbelief long enough to enjoy them. And I feel like I shouldn't, because most of my srs-face Naruto fan buddies are foaming with rage/declaring loudly that they don't care anymore, and I feel like I ought to feel that way, too. But I don't. I'm okay with the cheese.
Oh, and one more thing:
