So I'm supposed to be writing several Creative Writing stories that I am way behind on, in addition to doing that term paper that is due A WEEK FROM TOMORROW, but I was instead thinking about frivolous things. So I felt like sharing.

My mom actually let me stay home from school today.  Granted, it's to get a scholarship done for the deadline tomorrow, but still.

EDIT:  Also, apparently the government owes me money!  I signed my tax forms a couple days ago, and the people (my parents have some service do them) said I'm going to get a refund of $107.  Cooooooooool.

No school today for staff meetings and grading for the first semester.  I'm currently writing my Final Exam Essay for AP World History, the only class I drop when the semester changes over.  Then I have to slam together some assigned reading and focal points for my seminar on Christopher Paolini's fail for AP English (which will be taking place next Tuesday), and then I have to write an article for Journalism and a short story excerpt for Creative Writing.  And finish a take-home test for AP Calculus by Friday.

I'm in a surprisingly postive mood in general, but that doesn't mean I'm happy with it.  Sometimes I wonder if all AP/Honors-type teachers in senior year get together and plan this.

Also, I have to do scholarship apps.

Ugh.

(On the bright side, I may be in the running for a full ride to that college I was accepted at with a half-ride (think I mentioned that back in December).  :DDDDDDDDD  It still isn't my first choice, but having a viable option would do wonders for my stress level)

EDIT: Trying out new layout.  For no reason, I made all the text Fight Club-themed.

I finished the goddamn term paper.  All eight and one quarter pages of it.

And when I got to AP English, strung out on two and a half hours of sleep and hunger...

The fracking thing's due date was pushed to the end of the week.

I didn't cry.

I started laughing.  It was just giggles at the irony at first, and then the more I laughed, the funnier it got, and the more I couldn't stop, until I was splayed on my desk half-hysterical with mirth, while my class stared at me and my teacher asked, with great concern, if I was feeling okay.

And then I stopped laughing and realized how insane I must have looked.

It was really scary.




...And then I found out I did it wrong anyway.  So.  Great self-loathing.

Apparently, the Grinch has stolen the other ten days of Christmas, as I have been in a communications blackout from the 26th to, like, now with extended family and, oh yeah, SCHOOL.

The assignments I must do before break ends:

7-page term paper (which honestly should have already been done)
Regular-length Lord of the Rings essay
Partner project with chocomarauder on Chaucer and the medieval Church
Preparations for my class seminar on the 27th of January, for which I have done nothing

(all of the above are from AP English ALONE)

And a take-home Calc test.

So...I have the next Christmas request ALMOST FINSIHED (I beg thy forgiveness, jaderhade ! D:), and the ones after that will probably definitely be very very late.

When reading our friends' LJs, we sometimes see certain repeated names appearing in posts or comments. Ask me about someone you've seen around my LJ whom you're curious about.

Still.  Sick.  It isn't like normal sick--it's just this incessant pain in my stomach and abdomen that doesn't go away unless I lie down and lay very very still.  And I get slightly light headed and feel twice as bad right after I eat..  When I eat.

I have eaten very little today.  If there is one good thing to be said, it is that my diet is going well.

I didn't finish that rough draft last night, but I managed to squeak by in class without needing it, thanks to a 2-hour delay and some distractions.  Better luck tonight, hopefully.
