Well, if you don't know, I'm writing this big huge DiZ-centric fic that I've been working on for over a year this Christmas. And instead of doing author's notes, I'm posting thoughts here and putting links in my profile. BECAUSE I LIKE DOING THINGS THE HARD WAY, OKAY? So, all those who are here from FF.net, please click the cut-link below.
Well, it all started...I don't remember when I got the idea. But it was over a year ago. I reiterate that this is not an exaggeration. But in any case, the fic didn't really take off until I was thinking about it and listening to my new CD, The Black Parade, and--wham! Onomatopoeia! Giant inspiration!
The story of how I got to working on it is long and boring, so I'll skip ahead to discussing the prologue.
Melena is named after Elphaba's mother in Wicked, the book. The fic's title is blatantly inspired from this. I felt bad about killign her off, but it was never an option to leave her alive.
Tempest, funnily enough, didn't even appear in the first rough draft--he only took shape after I decided that Ansem was boring and had no friends. I was inspired for him by Maes Hughes from Fullmetal Alchemist. :D Incidentally, I drew a picture of him one day, watched Advent Children a month later, and realized he looks almost exactly like Zack. So he became Zack's father in addition to being Cloud's father. Which you'll be finding out next chapter. I read somewhere that Nomura said that the FF characters that appear in KH have alternate histoies than their canonical counterparts, so this will include my take on KH-Cloud.
Shiro--I don't want to talk about him. If I told you what he originally was named, it would be sooo obvious what I was trying to do. (Also, BBS killed my theories, which is why this went AU. Waah.) Mihael isn't important at all, I'm sorry. I kind of liked him.
This is turning out to be so loooong~ I'm hoping more people get interested in this because of all the work I'm putting in. Oh, I sound so spoiled. But seriously, if you read it and didn't review, please consider reviewing. I would really appreciate constructive criticism and feedback, since this will probably be my last major multi-chapter endeavor in the KH fandom. Also, if you have questions, ask them in reviews and I'll answer them here! Or reply directly to you, depending. Maybe both.
