Okay, so basically I'm back early, which is great. I have a couple memes for you and also I have been visited by the Writing Fairy over the trip, which means good things for me in future, hopefully! :D I'm also dieting again. That basically sums up the entry I just wrote and lost to cybershit, but I can't remember everything else that was in it.

Canon: Han/Leia because skfljsl. Jag/Jaina because it was totally canon until fricking Troy Denning crapped on it. -_- I kind of hate that man. *is a Zahn, Stover, and Allston fan. Traviss is awesome, too* Jacen/Tenel Ka because aaaaawwwww. Luke/Mara because HELL YES BITCHEZ IT IS SO AMAZING and I shipped it before I read Vision of the Future SO HA.

Non-canon: ...I haven't hung around EU fandom since 2006, so I haven't really cultivated any crack pairings. R2-D2/C-3PO THEIR LOVE IS SO PURE

Bleargh: Jaina/Zekk. -_- WITH THE BUGS AND THE HIVEMIND AND THE EUUUUUGGHRHGHRGHH *has a squick button with the word "BUGS" written on it* And poor Han, waking up one morning and finding out his daughter's a bug. :C

C. BUT BUUUUUUUUUUUUGS D: hive mind is one of those things in sci-fi that is an immediate "primal fear" sort of button for me, so you can imagine how well that went over. Also, most of my pissiness at Jaina/Zekk may stem from fricking Troy Denning using the same line as a convenient author break-up tool over and over again: "They just grew apart." First to break up Jaina/Jag when he wanted, and then again on Jaina/Zekk AFTER HE'D JUST GOT DONE SETTING THEM UP WHAT THE CRAP MAN.

I won't hit you XD THIS TIME. But I will say that I'm convinced that I'd find Mai 9000 times more awesome if she dumped Zuko and ran off to Kyoshi to lez out with Ty Lee. (I have good reasons for that, I swear! Good, like, narrative and character reasons.)

You know, it has very little to do with, uh. Femmeslashing for the sake of it, though I am all about that. To me, Mai has always been a series of relationships to people more than she's ever been her own person. The governor's daughter, Azula's henchwoman, Zuko's girlfriend... etc. I think she's only really herself -- Mai, an individual -- around Ty Lee. They are just themselves around each other. I think that's an awesome foundation for a relationship, sooooo... I ship it. XD Then Katara can go off and comfort Zuko.
