This Turned Into a Long Rant. Cool.

s-so is it bad that I find Suzaku slamming Lelouch around on the floor totally hot? 8Dp
This post will probably be edited with more spazzing later.
ETA: And here it is!
I kind of like how the layout/plot of the first two episodes here mirror the first two of the first season (i.e. killing the guys with Geass after C.C. gets shot, then totally pwning the Britannians with STRATEGY and such). It gives me a warm fuzzy familiar feeling inside that is totally undeserved, as I just watched the entire first season again in under 24 hours.
So, I thought I'd be a big Lelouch/Kallen shipper, but his interactions with C.C. are just too jsdkajkfjaksa for me to ignore. But I did like their (he and Kallen) whole confrontation this episode with the gun and the bunny costume (XD he's like "why are you still wearing that?" and she's like "kjsahjak STOP LOOKING AT ME I DON'T CARE IF YOU'VE BECOME MY PERSONAL GOD OR WHATEVER") and the trust and his hawt voice, unnnng. Except I wonder why he had to make that big
Random Thought: Do people actually see the Geass in his eye? Or is it just there for our viewing pleasure? I know the orange rings aren't there in-series because when Euphy was on a TV screen in Ep. 22 (BAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWW D8), they weren't there. But he can't turn his left eye off now, and I was wondering if, like, Kallen or somebody could see it. I guess not, since she probably would have said something. ("Hey, you've got something in your eye, let me get it--" "N-no, that's okay, it's, um, pink-eye." "Huh. Well then, QUIT RUBBING IT."
Thoughts on Suzaku: *deep breath* BAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWW D8 D8 D8 D8 D8 D8 D8
Further Thoughts on Suzaku: *will not bawl, will not bawl* He's all...broken. ;~; The saddest emoticon in the world could not convey the sad face I am making right now. *sniffle* He's just...lost his reason to live. Except instead of dying, he's just...not living. It's like he's a walking shell, going through the motions of what he thought he wanted to achieve in life. He died with Euphy.
(NICE JOB BREAKING IT, LELOUCH. *KICKS HIM FOREVER FOR BEING UNFORGIVABLY, RIDICULOUSLY, INCREDIBLY, UNBELIEVABLY, MORONICALLY *)
I wonder if I should rename my Suzaku tag, since he seems to have grown out of his Woobie phase and into his Eaten Up By
I feel like they've switched places, like we spent Season One yelling, "Lelouch, we're Genre Savvy here! You're obviously the anti-hero/anti-villain guy whose purpose is to serve as a moral about absolute power corrupting absolutely! Get out while you can! Suzaku's the one with the ideals and stuff, quick, be redeemed by him before one or both of you dies tragically in a pyrrhic victory!" and now all of a sudden we're like, "OSHIT WAIT THE SYSTEM GOT SUZAKU WE WERE TOTALLY OFF THE MARK THERE, LELOUCH, OUR BAD. WRONG MORAL." *facepaaaaaaaalm*
THOUGHT FOR THE SEASON: From A Clockwork Orange--
Does God want goodness or the choice of goodness? Is a man who chooses to be bad perhaps in some way better than a man who has the good imposed upon him?
I think I've exhausted my brain for now.
Oh wait.
Rolo.
ETA 2: HOW COULD I HAVE FORGOTTEN TO MENTION THE COUNTRY OF ONLY ONE ROOM? *lols forever* LELOUCH. I COULD NOT. STOP. LAUGHING.
Not to mention Diethard dancing around like a kid on Christmas getting to meet Santa. "ZERO'S ALIVE HE'S ALIVE I TOLD YOU HE WAS ALIVE THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER THERE ARE NO WORDS FOR MY JOY 8D"
okay I'm really going to stop this

Date: 2009-08-11 05:14 am (UTC)That's -- all I can think of to say?
UM WAIT
I do like CC/Lulu, they're desperately sweet and way snarkyfun at the same time. I like everyone/Lulu, but DESPITE MY HATRED OF OT3, I consider Suzaku/CC/Lulu valid because of R2, and every part of it is fascinating (and analogous to prior OT3 Suzaku/Nunnally/Lulu). XD *so pairing-fussy!!*
I personally think Suzaku ends up happy, if it's any consolation for his devastatingly empty phase in R2.

God, I hope so. *is starting Turn 7 as we speak*

Date: 2009-08-11 04:08 pm (UTC)To be fair, Lelouch didn't kill her on purpose...and to be fair to that, that wouldn't have happened at all if he weren't A GIANT SPAZ COME ON LELOUCH
Personally, I think they both come out to be about exactly equal in terms of breaking/betraying each other, which is what makes them so darn tragic and sobby, baaaawww~ (although I found Lelouch's betrayal to be more painful to watch) (also, SUZAKU HANDING HIM THE PHONE, OMG THAT WAS HEARTBREAKINGLY CRUEL AND ALSO AWESOME)

Date: 2009-08-11 04:12 pm (UTC)No, it's true.
And, I agree. They both screw each other over equally and repeatedly. (AND YES OH MY GOD. AND POOR NUNNA, WHO HAD NO IDEA)
no subject
Date: 2009-08-11 04:31 pm (UTC)And poor Lelouch, standing there like, "Can't lie to Nunnally...can't recognize her...can't lie to Nunnally...can't recognize her..." completely paralyzed. Never thought I'd say it, but THANK GOD FOR ROLO. (And then the ensuing twenty-second conversation broke my heart, with "Nunnally, play along, I can't recognize you, I love you, I promise," and me sitting there all BAAAAWWWWWW T____T T____T)
That's what separates Lelouch from the usual crop of anti-heroes/anti-villains/villain protags/anti-anti-hero-villain-smittywerbenjenkermanjansen-whatever-else-have-you in this genre (intending to provide us with some sort of moral about means and ends and absolute power and such). Because no matter what else he is willing to do for Nunnally, he does have a line he won't cross.
He could never hurt Nunnally. Ever. Not even "for her own good," which is the usual "cross the line" signal that tells us when heroes cross over into straight villainy. He is completely incapable of knowingly harming Nunnally, and that's what I think might save him in the end. Um. HOPEFULLY.
And while we're talking about her, NUNNALLY. OMG. Such a change from the requisite "cutie" that's supposed to wring sympathy out of us and let us know how much of a woobie Lelouch is. She's grown into a character in her own right, now. And I love it.
