I plan to make a voice post soon! I already know what I'm going to say in it, so this isn't about that one.

BUT! Is there anything you want me to talk about/say aloud/generally address in a voice post sometime? Shall I sing? Speak funny words? Say tongue-twisters? Foam about some generally happy- or angry-making topic? It's up to you guys!

Well...kind of? I never received formal voice training (except for a single lesson from this lady in my senior year in preparation for Districts, but I didn't have the time or the moolah to do it every week so I quit), so I hesitate to say I'm "classically trained" because that sounds so professional. But I sing in chorus using proper choral technique, I guess, being coached by my musical directors, so I guess kind of in a way?

tl;dr I would say I've received some sporadic informal classical training.

I'll just pick whatever, then. XD Probably something everyone knows because choral literature sounds silly without all the other parts in it (plus I'm an Alto now, and we sing harmony, not melody, so that would be even weirder 0_o)

XD I'm the same way. Most of my training is through musical theatre. My mother, who is a classically trained soprano, occasionally gave me lessons and coachings but mostly I took voice classes in college and before that was self-taught. Ish. (Meaning I sucked for a while. Now I suck... less?)

Yeah, pick whatever you want! Works for me.
