A Self-Deprecating Thought

I don't know why I'm so goddamn sensitive. If someone doesn't like something I enjoy, that doesn't mean that they're judging me behind my back every time it comes up.

I wish I were more self-confident.

Thoughts like those are really easy to think--they're carry-overs from our earliest developmental stages, back when we were two years old and unable to understand that other people don't see the world the same way we do. Like, little kids standing directly in front of T.V. screens? They can't understand that the people behind them can't see it because they're in the way. All they understand is that they can see it, so logically everyone else can, too.

Oh, don't self-loathe. ♥ It's all part of that process of growing and seeing that there are other people, and that they do see things differently, and that it's not necessarily bad in any sense.

...it just takes a while to grow into.
