the magic library room strikes again

elementalheroSeriously, this quiet room in the library is so conducive to me actually doing work. (Well, I mean, obviously now I'm not, but I just wrote up a moderately decent resume and I'm taking a little break to give me some time to think).
I felt miserable this morning because I woke up late, but then I texted my friend and she came and sat with me at breakfast, and then I felt a whole ton better. I think this proves I really need to interact with my RL friends more - the second we got too busy to see each other as much, I felt sad and lonely. And then it only took about twenty minutes talking with her to perk me up again. Moral of the story: FRIENDSHIP. And also bright, spacious, quiet rooms. Instead of dark, cramped, quiet-except-for-slamming-doors-and-people-having-sex-across-the-hall rooms.
My bandwidth restored itself last night sometime, so I got to finish R2 Turns 18 and 19. BAAAAAAAAWWWWW. (I mean, I've been spoiled for the end, and I know what happens, BUT STILL BAAAWWWWW) I was sniffling all over chat and sobbing HE HAS NO ONE LEFT BAAAWWW. Also, goddamnit, Rolo, I am trying to hate you. You killed my favorite character. But your death ended up being your Alas Poor Scrappy moment for me. I just...baww because the music, and it was after Lelouch finally told him how much he hated him (WHICH I WAS SIMULTANEOUSLY GLEEING AND BAWW'ING ABOUT BECAUSE POOR LELOUCH IS HAVING AN EMOTIONAL BREAKDOWN SOB), and his final speech embodied basically all the great themes of the anime, about power and responsibility and the nature of free will and love and sob Rolo why did you have to make me like youuuuuuuuuu. Not. Fair.
Also, Lelouch continues to break my hearrrrrt. ;~; rofl I hope this doesn't screw with my Kannagara muse, because I imported him from late Season One. (Actually, it was from the end of Stage 22, if you're curious. Because I'm that terrible.)
On that note, we really need more Code Geass castmates there. If I could pick any one character to have, just one, I really want someone to app Nunnally from the Nightmare of Nunnally manga, because that would be just too funny. Not to mention AWESOME. speaking of, I ought to actually read that when I get a chance, though I've been waiting to finish R2 first.
OKAY I SAID I WASN'T GOING TO POST ABOUT GEASS AGAIN UNTIL I FINISHED THE WHOLE ANIME, BUT I GUESS I LIED. :/

Date: 2010-02-18 06:48 pm (UTC)I think the Lelouch pleading with him to stop was what made it so wrenching for me, because of the way it was done (Rolo's Geass freezing him every few syllables) and how it proved Lelouch still wasn't so far gone into his own despair that he couldn't care about someone he didn't even like risking his life to save him, and the LYING TO MAKE HIM FEEL BETTER, but like. which was the lie and which was the truth??, and sob, it was so well-executed. ;A;
