Most people on the internet are fairly lax about sex and sexuality, so I had to adjust my assumptions when I realized that you are much more reserved about those things.

Well it was partly because I was kind of a late bloomer. But yeah, even up through high school, I was reeeeally uncomfortable about sexual things, especially people talking about sex. I'd be like OKAY WE ARE CHANGING THE SUBJECT NOW, HOW ABOUT THAT WEATHER. Now I look back and I'm amazed at how stuffy I used to be.

Seriously, though, I know a great deal of dirty-minded/liberal Catholics. It's probably the repression thing. It's also how willing you are to look at other beliefs and accept them alongside your own. That said, I do know sooooo many close-minded and/or straight-laced Catholics. :/

See, that has such a story behind it. We met sometime in April of this year, and that was about three or so months after I had finally been able to admit to the Internet at large that my attitudes on slash were finally changing. I used to be so against it (lol, huzzah for not knowing I was a total bigot), and it took a lot of thinking, literature, fanfiction, and finding out some of my best friends are gay to get me to change my views.

by getting into Pokemon! Its not bad or anything but struck me as funny because I am pretty sure seeing that on Morning cartoons was my first exposure to anime (... you might even be a little young to have seen that then...oh, I feel old.) and so it struck me as a fandom that has been around. But look at it going strong and still attracting new peoples!

See, I was actually a Pokemon fan when I was in the 3rd-5th grade! I just developed a huge shame complex about it and decided to pretend I was never into it starting in middle school. But then a fatal combination of TV Tropes and and_sparks_fly's journal comments about it suddenly got me reading Pokemon Special, and then, well, you saw the picspams.
