5. SAKURA PUNCHING SAI OUT.

OTPPPPPPPPP~ I love this scene because it demonstrates three key things about Sakura: one, she is badass; two, she's not totally over Sasuke yet, but isn't going to sit around and weep about it; and three, SAKURA IS BADASS. (also, her face here after doing it, gleeeeeeee~)

4. SKINNY CHOUJI.

(No, not just for the skinny part) I will admit that I never really had respect for Chouji as a character until his fight in the Sasuke Retrieval arc with Jiroubou. But...his whole speech about being considered a failure, and Shikamaru being his best friend and always believing in him, and his willingness to die not for a cause that he didn't really believe in, but for his best friend and the sake of that best friend's belief in him... D''''''': THE WORST PART WAS THAT I THOUGHT HE DIED. I WAS CONVINCED. I WEPT. I want more Chouji--OH WAIT, WE ALREADY GOT SOME AND THEY WENT AND KILLED HIS DADDY, WHAT JERKFACES. THIS KID NEVER GETS A BREAK.

3. EPIC FOREHEAD POKE.

I jawdropped. I WTF'ed. I walked away from the computer, and walked back to see if the screen had changed. I gasped so hard that I was in danger of aspirating my entire hand. In a manga deeply entrenched in a genre filled with stereotypes, I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING. And the symbolism of the next image, that of the blood being washed from Itachi's hands... I caught that on the reread, when the symbolism would make sense, and my heart broke about seven times in a row. *weeps* ILUUUUUUUUUU~~~ Y U DIE????

1.ITACHI RAEPFACE. (WARNING: NOT SAFE FOR SANITY)

I laughed until I cried. It was the sort of shocked hysterical laughter, the kind that feels like you just got punched in the gut, that one produces when one is in a state of absolute shock. Just....that face. On that character. I just... *pfft* (I dubbed it the "Itachi raepface" after the more famous filler!Ikkaku "raepface" of capslock_bleach. Too lazy to go get a pic, so you'll just have to go scour CL_B. Don't worry; it's everywhere.)

5. About Ten:

This is Akatsuki crackfic of the highest order. Featuring OCD!Madara, amusinglyincharacter!Itachi, despairing!Pain, and a whole lot of Akatsuki history. The basic gist of this one-shot is that no matter what, there have never been ten members of the Akatsuki at one time, because they could never get through a meeting wihout one dying.

4. Chivalry

Anything by this author comes highly recommended. This fic in particular is a Bleach AU, exploring the idea that Tatsuki, Keigo, and Mizuiro all get their own spiritual powers and get to come on the Rukia rescue mission in the SS Arc. Well-written, asorbing, and completely amazing.

A Riku-centric Kingdom Hearts AU-ish sort of thing that is absolutely amazing. Features time-travel, Vexen, replicas, Xehanort, guilt, and awesome symbolism and motifs. VERY AWESOME.

1. Mixed With the Lightning of Slaughter

This. Is. Amazing. I cannot articulate how amazing it is. A refreshing take on the typical Naruto time-travel AU, this fic is filled with Sasuke, gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous description, a perfect melding of past and future and present, and incredibly amazing description of insanity. I mean, it is a head trip and a half, in a very good way. Even if you aren't quite a fan of Sasuke (which, apparently it isn't in style to be anymore? Please don't wank at me, fandom), I highly recommend this fic for its imagery and just...epicness. It's wondrous.

Flight--With wings. For a long time, not too long ago, I had a spate of dreams where I could fly and I had wings to do so. They were so realistic, I could feel the muscles and bones with every flap. Then I'd wake up, not have wings, and be depressed. Seriously.

Intangibility--The ability to go through things. I got really into the idea of this from my old favorite show, Danny Phantom. I think that it would be awesome to be able to walk through walls, put your hand through things, etc. I'd never have claustrophobia again. Plus, in a fight, you could phase someone into the ground, and then let go and let them get crushed by the rock underground.

Fire--I love fire. Period.

The ability to put someone to sleep just by looking at them a certain way--I had this for a while in dreams, too, though it was a long time ago. I wonder what that symbolizes... Anyway, I think the chill-out factor would be cool. I could go into the middle of war zones and be like, "ALL OF YOU. CHILL OUT."

The ability to summon animals--Animal summoning is great. I'd never be alone, and I could have proxy fighters to fight for me, or to distract my enemies, or to do whatever. One of my favorite spells in Baldur's Gate.
