elementalheroSorry I haven't done much lately but memes, you guys. I've finally recovered almost completely from my Horrible Teef Surgery and lived to tell the tale, so here's a sort-of catch-up post about my mostly-crappy-but-actually-pretty-okay holidays, as well as some random internet crap.
So I was knocked-flat ill on Christmas Eve and Day, due to a bad cold/sinus infection that sapped all my energy. That sucked, but I did get a lot of nice things for Christmas, and I got to see my high school friends, which was love. Notable among my gifts were a pair of sweet-ass red/black snow boots with heavy-duty rubber soles and stuff (yesssssss), and an iPod Touch--eight gigs, much smaller than poor Roxas, but that one needs to be sent for repairs. Besides, I've realized I don't need to have my entire music library on my hip at all times, really. I named that one Madara, so now I have the electronic Survivor Trio (laptop=Sasuke, cell phone=Itachi). Yes, I am a dork.
Then I had my wisdom teeth out on New Year's Eve, which sucked. But I was lucky in that the anesthesia didn't make me puke, my family gave me lots of hugs and did things for me because they felt bad, and I didn't get any bad infections or complications (knock on wood). So I should probably not complain as much as I have been. |D Although my breath still stinks, no matter what radical measures I take DX DX DX
Mostly my vacation has consisted of me lying around the house. :/ I love being home, but I miss college.

thedollsyhouse, planning to pick up Yellow at xi_rpg next app period, and my other characters are doing fine. I have been slowly working through the Christmas requests; hopefully they'll be up at the end of the month.

feilyn and digthenym read them over before I post, but I think this kind of AU project requires someone who I interact with less on a personal level, who could help me with my writing. I hesitate to take it to a beta community, though, since it's, like, already started. What I think I really want is someone to collaborate with me on it, to help write portions and to add fresh ideas that aren't mine, you know. I envy people who pair up to do large, collaborative fanfictions, mostly because I have only completed one multi-chaptered fanfiction ever, and it is honestly pretty bad (I was fifteen). I just don't seem to have the attention span, and that scares me, because if I can't finish a fanfiction, how the hell could I ever become a novelist?
Sometimes late at night, I consider quitting fanfiction and RP to concentrate on making myself write for myself, but I couldn't stand to lose the social aspect of it. I have met amazing, fantastic people through RP and fanfiction, people who have changed my life. It would feel like cutting off a limb. I assume. You know, having never cut off a limb.

Oh jeesh! I don't think getting my wisdom teeth out was that bad, I'm sorry. :/ It didn't hurt too much, but not being able to eat filling food was so frustrating!
.....y-you're playing Itachi on Dollsy again? How's that going for you? I haven't checked Dollsy in a while. Along with dropping off of LJ, I dropped RPing for good, I think. It was just too stressful. :| (I wish I could write fanfiction though, ugh. Maybe after BBS is released...)
OOO: So you read Pokemon Special?? Eeeee! I started reading it at the beginning of break. :D I'm not very far because I haven't continued -- I'm near the end of Red's story, I think -- but ahhh, it's so cute!!! I can't wait for Gold/Silver! lol. ><;
