Also I need more friends IRL and online that I can talk to about Code Geass. It's all built up inside me, and I'm like YOU GUYS I NEED TO HAVE SOME SORT OF CATHARTIC RELEASE FOR ALL THIS ~EMOOOOOOOTION~ and it's like, "yeah, Random, everyone watched that show a year ago." This is probably karma getting back at me for when I read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows in one day, and then everyone around me took longer, and then there was the one friend who took like an entire month to read it, and by then I was sick of talking about it. SOB IS THERE NO END TO THIS CIRCLE OF HATRED AND BAD FANDOM TIMING?

Three more weeks until I never have to deal with my roommate's passive aggression ever again. aaaaahhhh~

Okay, I am going to attempt to watch the final two episodes of Code Geass tonight.

IN OTHER NEWS: Right when I decide to finish R2, I only get through all of Turn 17 and three-quarters of Turn 18 before my bandwidth was like "NO U." So now I don't get to finish R2. >C

I'm going to write up a huuuge-ass post summing up my total feelings on the series as a whole when I do finish it. ♥ Also, rewatching my Season One DVDs makes me sad. ;m; SHIRLEEEEEEEEEEEEEY /SOBSOBSOBSOBSOOOOOOB

My buddies and I celebrated Guy Fawkes Day by watching V for Vendetta. :D Great movie. I enjoyed it. I caught a lot of things that reminded me of Code Geass, too, which reminded me I have to get over my mourning for Shirley and goddamn finish watching R2 made me wonder if that was intentional on the makers of CG's part. Curiosity!

Basically, participants would each pick one or several of their favorite series or one-shots (not necessarily fandoms) and find at least one example of undeniable, indefensible sexism. Preferably, a work that gets your hackles raised whenever someone badmouths it and ESPECIALLY if you would otherwise consider the gender dynamics to be perfect.

I'm going with Code Geass, which, while not a perfect example of gender dynamics like Soul Eater, for instance, is about thirty times better than Bleach or Naruto.
